I'll stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
