We present a home-style take on a beverage featured on a new drinks list. It's a party-sized prepared mix that's bursting with flavours associated with holiday season, which makes it ideal for a festive gathering. Reserve the remaining citrus syrup you can use for morning drinks, sweets, or to make another batch of the drink.

For the Syrup: Place every ingredients into a pan, bring to a simmer, agitating so the sugar melts. Next, take off the stove and let it to cool entirely. Transfer into a sealable bottle, cap it keeping it in the fridge, where it will keep for up to a month.
For the Cocktail Base: Pour all the liquid ingredients into one sizeable container, allow it to infuse for 60 minutes, then filter it preferably using a fine cloth, so it's perfectly clear.
For serving: Measure 85ml from the batch mix into a cocktail shaker packed with ice, and agitate gently for a minute to cool it down. Filter to a cold coupe glass or equivalent, decorate with a few cranberries adding the final touch using a light spray with the mandarin essence over the drink.
